One Page Profile/All About Me
A template for getting to know a new class, getting a child’s perspective on their strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes etc. Can be used as a One Page Profile, an introductory first week back task or as a homework task. Contains a blank version which can be used if completing using ICT and a version with lines if handwritten. Both .doc templates so can be easily edited.
Solar System
A collection of resources to support the teaching of the solar system. Resource include: 1) vocabulary related to the solar system, which children need to research and find definitions. 2) A template for a ‘Wikipedia’ style entry about a famous astronaut. 3) Questions for children to explore about stars. 4) Planets of the solar system worksheets which includes task for children to come up with their own mnemonic. All .doc or .ppt formats so can easily be adapted.
Planets
Two activities to support teaching of solar system, space & time topics. One activity looks at a hypothetical scenario based on different spacecraft traveling to different planets at different speeds. Second activity looks at the average temperature of planets and asks children to create a line graph/bar chart and answer questions based on the given data.
Guinness World Records Class Assembly
A class assembly written for a topic about Guinness World Records. Used in a year 4 class, but easily adapted to be used across KS2. Has 32 parts, some of which can be combined for smaller classes. In a .doc format so can easily be adapted & edited.
Shoes
A PowerPoint presentation to introduce an art lesson focusing on shoes. PowerPoint includes a video to help engage children, to be viewed prior to starting creating of art. Used with a year 4 class, but easily adapted to suit primary age phase.

Problem Solving
Scenario based on being stranded on a desert island. Scenario ‘email’ introduced the task to the children. Differentiated ICT activities then introduced which all lead to solving different problems. Whole class work together on differentiated activities, before coming together to share the results of their findings.
Positional Language
A lesson to support teaching of coordinates and positional language in Key Stage 1 Foundation Phase/Stage. Includes lesson plan, differentiated activities and supported resources such as scenario scrolls.
Questioning
Questioning PowerPoint with activities to develop and improve questioning, including inference skills. Supporting worksheets for children to apply skills, following the 5 Ws for questioning - who, what, when, where and why. Inference grid can be used for any images, when displayed on white board. All ‘Task’ documents include a different image (however these are not showing on the previews). Easily edited to suit images related to topics.
Victorian Street Description
Collection of photographs/paintings of a Victorian street, displayed on worksheets to support development of interesting adjectives etc. Photographs/paintings also displayed on PowerPoint for display on whiteboards. Used with a year 1 class but can easily be adapted for use across primary age phase.
Comparing Weather
Differentiated activity sheets for comparing weather. Activity asks children to compare the weather in Wales & the Caribbean, but can easily be changed to suit various locations. Used with a year 1 class.
Chocolate
An activity overview sheet for a 2 week topic on chocolate. Child led learning activities involving research, chocolate tasting, designing and creating own chocolate bar and researching where the ingredients used to make chocolate come from.

Fruit tasting activity where children taste various fruits. Children record what they like and dislike about the fruits. Children then conduct a ‘survey’ of all children in the class. Following this, children to create a bar chart/tally/tick chart to collect whole class data. Used with a year 1 class, but can easily be adapted to suit.
